Being seriously ill or hospitalised for a major surgery can be distressing for both the patients and their loved ones. Finding time for nourishing the body, mind and soul amidst nature and tranquility is true healing. The retreat at Govardhan Eco Village (https://www.ecovillage.org.in/) is specially organised bi-monthly on a Sunday for the patients and their family members to empower them to manage their health better, living a stress free life, leveraging the power of yoga, and adapting the eco-friendly way of life. The retreat covers a range of activities to help participants relax, rejuvenate and rejoice.

The Annual Spiritual Retreat organised by the Department of Spiritual Care is a perfect opportunity for the patients, doctors, staff as well as their family members to experience a higher taste of spirituality and connect with the Absolute.
Each year the retreat is held at an important holy place(s) in India over a period of 5 to 7 days. This year the retreat is at UDUPPI, MULKI (near Mangalore - Karnataka) and adjoining areas from Dec 26th to Dec 30th 2018.
During the retreat, participants relish the glories and stories of the holy place(s) narrated in detail by Dr. V. G. Shanbhag – Deputy Director, Department of Spiritual Care Training and Education. They also learn the art of praying and meditating for spiritual enrichment. Provision of pure holy food and a peaceful staying environment uplift the spirits of one and all.
