High Risk Clinic provides structured follow-up programme designed for early detection, intervention and treatment of high risk neonates (NICU graduates) who are at-risk for long-term morbidities such as developmental delay, visual and hearing disorders, growth failure and ongoing medical illnesses. This involves a multi-disciplinary team of paediatricians, child psychologist, paediatric neurologist, ophthalmologist, otorhinolaryngologist, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, medical social worker, and a dietician, to ensure that these babies attain their maximum overall potential as they grow.



Children with congenital and acquired heart diseases require specialised care as they tend to be sicker and vulnerable to various complications. Early diagnosis, treatment and regular follow-up are of utmost importance for better outcome. The Division of Paediatric Cardiology provides a full range of out-patient and in-patient diagnostic and consultative cardiac services.



The Child Neurology Clinic specialises in treating the full range of neurological, behavioral and developmental conditions in infants, children and adolescents. This involves expertise in diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases, disorders, or dysfunction of the central and peripheral nervous system comprising of the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles. These include epilepsy, cerebral palsy, mental retardation, muscular dystrophy, headaches, metabolic and genetic diseases of the nervous system, learning and behavioral disorders like autism, hyperactivity as well as nervous system complications of systemic diseases or infections e.g. Meningitis and Encephalitis. Neurophysiology lab services like electroencephalography (EEG) reporting are used for accurate diagnosis.



The Department of Pediatric Surgery provides a wide range of paediatric surgical services for newborn to adolescent upto 18 years of age. These comprise of newborn surgery, gastro-intestinal surgery, thoracic surgery including VATS and laparoscopic surgery. In addition to treating existing in-patients who require surgery, the Department also caters for children to be admitted, have an operation, and be discharged within the same day.



Children and adolescent eye disorders such as Refractive Errors, Amblyopia (Lazy eye), Strabismus (Squint), Nystagmus, Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP), Congenital Cataracts, Congenital Glaucoma, Congenital Lid Malformations and Congenital Dacryocystitis are treated at our Ophthalmology Centre.

Paediatric Orthopaedics is a sub-speciality branch of Orthopaedics which deals with musculoskeletal problems in children. A child is not a small adult. Thus the bones and joints in children and their disorders are far different from those in adults. Children are still growing, and their body’s response to injuries, infections, deformities and traumas are quite dissimilar from adults. Children cannot communicate and express the same way as adults and the approach to a child with musculoskeletal disorder needs to be a special one.

In addition to offering musculoskeletal pain management services the Rehabilitation Centre has been extensively using Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) approach to treat children with a pathophysiology of the Central Nervous System (CNS) i.e. Children with disorders like Cerebral Palsy, Meningomyelocele, Dystrophy and Myopathy. Occupational Therapy
